Clerigos Tower is the landmark of Porto. You can see it from nearly anywhere, towering over the built silhouette of the city. This tower of 76,60m was built during the 18th century by italian architecht Nicolau Nasoni. It’s part of the baroque Clerigos Church, which was built only after the tower was finished. Everything about this church is Baroque starting with the elliptical design of the church. Inside it see the altarpiece of the main chapel, made of poly-chromed marble by Manuel dos Santos Porto.
Go up its 240 steps to admire the beautiful scenario of the city stretching to the sea.
